Resealing a Grant of probate help ?

If the Deceased died outside the UK, but still left UK assets such as monies in a bank account or shares we can help.
If the Deceased died in a country recognised under the Colonial Probates Act, this means that the foreign grant of probate can be Resealed in the UK. Typically, countries under the Act, are former Commonwealth ones, with the most frequent reseal applications in the UK typically South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Hong Kong.
Countries whereby a Probate Reseal application is not possible
If the deceased died in a country not recognised under the Colonial probates act, this means that resealing probate in the uk will not be possible. In loight of this, if assets were held by the Deceased in the Uk, then an entirely different legal process for a grant of representation will be needed to released the assets in the UK. Typically, this will involve submitting the foreign probate papers were the Deceased was domiciled, together with an affidavit of foreign law clarifying the legal entitlement of the administrator to make the application in the UK.
